Tim Shea is a managing director and member of the facility services investment banking group at Piper Jaffray. Shea has significant experience advising companies on M&A and equity transactions in the facility, rental and industrial services sectors. Over the course of his career, Shea has completed more than 50 M&A and equity transactions with aggregate consideration of over $20 billion. Recent transactions include the sale of QSI Facilities to Cushman & Wakefield; the sale of The Service Companies to Gridiron Capital; the sale of Emerald Textiles to Encore Textiles; the sale of Bonded Filter Company and Solmetex to AVALT; the sale of Valet Waste to Ares / Harvest; the sale of Lithko to The Pritzker Organization; the sale of Trench Plate Rental Company to Oaktree Capital; the sale of Universal Services of America to Warburg Pincus; the sale of KBS to GI Partners; the sale of ENVIRON to Ramboll Group; the sale of Harsco Corporation’s Infrastructure division to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice; the sale of GCA Services to Blackstone; and initial public offerings for Aramark and ServiceMaster.
Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Shea was a director at Robert W. Baird and also held senior level positions with a leading facility service company and a leading foodservice company. Prior to joining Baird, he practiced as a corporate attorney at Foley & Lardner LLP, specializing in M&A and securities law. While at Foley, Shea represented public and privately held corporations in numerous M&A and equity transactions as well as corporate governance and securities matters. Shea received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Juris doctorate from the University of Wisconsin and is a Certified Public Accountant.
